| The “Kritter
Gitters”, also
known as Bob and Cathy Anderson, have been involved in
wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, relocation, and preservation
for over 20 years. They own and operate two companies, one
designed to preserve wildlife by trapping and relocating
animals when they become a pest, and two, a non-profit company
to rescue and rehabilitate injured, sick, or abandoned wild
animals. Kritter Gitters recently relocated it's headquarters
to Wills Point Texas.

Fur and
Feathers Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc a non- profit 501 (3) (c)
rescue and rehabilitation corporation dedicated to rescuing
and rehabilitating any animal in distress or danger. Fur and
Feathers, operated by Kritter Gitters, will respond 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week to any injured, sick, or abandoned wild
animal. The animals are humanely rescued and transported to
the Fur and Feathers rehabilitation center where they are
treated, cared for, and ultimately returned to the wild. Fur
and Feathers Rescue rehabilitates about 200 animals per year.
In 2003, the organization expanded into the rescue and rehab
of reptiles, especially the relocation of local snakes. This
is now a major part of the rescue activities. Fur and
Feathers Rescue also provides many educational programs to
school, church, scouting, and civic groups designed to
increase awareness of the animals struggle for survival in our
environment. Non-releasable wild animals are housed at the
company facility and are used for educational purposes in
these programs. The facility is open to the public so people
can see and interact with their wild neighbors. All of the
local species of snakes are on display for children to see and
become familiar with. Non-paid volunteers operate Fur and
Feathers and there is no charge for these services. The
purpose of this web page is to provide a forum where
individuals can share information on humane treatment and
discuss specific animal related issues with the Kritter
Gitters.
